PoloPonies uses a small number of cookies, all of them there to make the site work. We use no analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This page explains exactly what we set and why.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so it can remember things between pages and visits — most importantly, that you are signed in. Some cookies last only for your visit; others persist until they expire or you delete them.
| Cookie | What it does | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-* (Supabase auth token cookies) | Keeps you signed in — these hold your authentication session tokens. | Essential | For your sign-in session; refreshed as you use the site and removed when you sign out. |
theme | Remembers your light or dark appearance preference. | Preference | Until you change it or clear your cookies. |
layout-style, sidebar_state | Remember interface layout choices in the signed-in area, such as whether the sidebar is open. | Preference | Until you change them or clear your cookies. |
Under the UK’s Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for — such as the authentication cookies that keep you signed in — do not require consent. The preference cookies above are set only when you actively choose a preference, such as switching to dark mode. We tell you about all of them anyway, because we think you should know.
We set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies, and no third party sets cookies through poloponies.co.uk. Nothing on this site follows you around the web.
If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your browser lets you view, block and delete cookies — look under its privacy or site-settings menu. Be aware that blocking or deleting the essential cookies above will break sign-in: you will not be able to list a pony or reveal a seller’s contact details without them.
